Behind the scenes …….
Thank you to all our feathered, scaled and furry superstars who have been helping with our filming over the last few weeks! ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฆ๐๐คฉ
We’ve had a great time capturing the Pet Wellness Centre experience with FishFilms! ๐ ๐ฅ
We catered to every treat demand (we take no responsibility for unfortunate digestive issues post shoot ๐ฉ ๐), we managed to prevent any major tantrums (well โฆ. excluding the cats ๐ผ), no reptiles were accidentally loosed upon unsuspecting Burleigh locals and we tried to keep the squawking to a minimum for our neighbours ๐
Most importantly, no animals were harmed during filming โ ๐
Keep an eye out for our first video release later this week (on our birthday!) and in the meantime, please enjoy this little behind the scenes blooper reel featuring some of our white wall shenanigans! ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ
(Shout out to the pet parents too – thank you!)

๐ฅฐ And judging by these photos, we all spent a lot of time on the floor with the animals!!!
Bye Bye Brainy Boy
Itโs with heavy hearts that today (18th October, 2017) we say goodbye to our CEO, our Boss, the one and only Brain.
Brain was the inspiration for the Pet Wellness Centre. He was the best Boss, the best friend and undoubtedly a very, very good boy. Weโre not sure how weโre going to keep the upstairs window quite as clean now that Brain wonโt be licking it enthusiastically as he supervises our customer service down below.
Rest assured, the Pet Wellness Centre team will continue to strive to make our Centre the most wonderfully warm, welcoming and pet friendly Centre there is. A Centre Brain can be proud of.
Thank you Brain. Whilst we couldn’t save you my little buddy, countless other precious pet lives will be saved, extended and enhanced in your name.
Youโre forever a good boy. We love you. ๐พโค

Brain’s Pet Friendly Cafe Discovery Mission – Lakeview Cafe Burleigh Waters
So this place is a well kept secret (not really) of the Burleigh Waters locals. Me and Mama checked it out this morning. Mama says the food and coffee wereย ๐๐๐ but most importantly they had a water bowl out for me, I got some scratches from strangers and it was nice and comfy under Mama’s table waiting for scraps to fall ๐ค This place is #BrainApproved ๐พโคย ย xBrain

There are just too many puppies and kittens to play with and not enough time in the day! So this Blog doesn’t get updated as often as it should. Please keep up to date with us on Facebook (Pet Wellness Centre) and Instagram (@petwellnesscentres) for all of the latest news.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas! We’re open 8am-6pm 28th, 29th and 30th December and then we reopen on the 3rd January.
If you’re looking for something to do to ring in the New Year, the City of Gold Coast website lists some of the family friendly NYE options here http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/thegoldcoast/new-years-eve-events-6851.html . There will also be fireworks at Coolangatta at 9pm if you want to get an early celebration in with the kids.
Don’t forget your furry mates on New Years Eve! Some pets are very frightened by fireworks so please take the appropriate precautions for your pet. If you have a new pup or perhaps a new rescue pet, please don’t leave them alone during the fireworks if you’re not sure how they’ll react. Best thing is to try to help make it a really positive experience for them if you can. Treats, toys and music can help ๐
Many pets get so distressed that they run away. If you find or lose a pet,ย Gold Coast Lost and Found Pets Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/goldcoastlostandfoundpets/?fref=tsย is a wonderful, helpful community andย please also contact the pound onย 07 5581 7600. If you need them, the amazing team at the Animal Emergency Service are open throughout the break, phone 5559 1599.
2016 has been a mixed year for the world, but it was and always will be the year that Pet Wellness Centre began – so we think it’s been a pretty good one! Here’s to an even better 2017! CHEERS ๐
Brain’s Pet Friendly Cafe Discovery Mission – Parlour, West Burleigh
Parlour is definitely one of my faves. Mama says the coffee is outstanding (a very important requirement) and she really loves the healthy brekkie bowl of goodness. I’m licking my lips here in anticipation of some sweet potato falling out of the bowl ….. Lots of love from friendly staff. Super pet friendly. All sizes welcome! We love Parlour xx BRAIN
