2018 What a Year!

Pet Wellness | Human Wellnesss | Community Wellness is our mission and It’s been an incredible year of fulfilling that mission for the Pet Wellness Centre Team so here’s a little snapshot of 2018 from us. We really are β€œmore than just a vet”! Wishing you and your furry families all the most wonderfully fun filled and prosperous 2019! 🐢😺🐷🐍🦜❀️

πŸ˜ƒ We added Dr Che, Nurse Laura, Trainee Nurses Hannah and Mady and Animal Physiotherapist Sandy Sharpe to our Team this year.


πŸ€“ We hosted the lovely Ariann, a work experience student from Marymount College


🌱 We went green in April, adding solar panels to our roof to reduce our carbon footprint


πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Dr G fulfilled an Aussie dream by completing his Bronze Certificate and volunteering as a surf life saver on Burleigh Beach!


πŸ“™πŸΆ We sponsored two Story Dogs, the absolute legend Amy Tobin and various other local causes close to all our hearts


πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ We started Saturday morning yoga classes to really live the β€œHuman Wellness” part of our mission!


🐢🐢🐢 116 puppies attended our Puppy Classes!


πŸ‘ Alison Lambert, keynote speaker at the Australian Veterinary Association 2018 Conference, featured Pet Wellness Centre in her presentations as an example of β€œraising the bar”


🐾🌳 We were Silver Sponsors at Paws at the Park in August


πŸ† Dr Gustav was voted into the Top 10 Vets on the Gold Coast in a local newspaper poll


πŸŽ‰ We turned 2 in October πŸŽ‚


πŸ˜‡πŸ™ Our amazing volunteers Hayley, Felicity and Sophie learned heaps about animal care (and cleaned a lot of cages!)


🎁 We gave away SIX free Pet Wellness Plans in our Winter Promotion


😼 We desexed more than 120 cats under the Animal Welfare League voucher program


✊ We completed more than $10,000 worth of free services for local animal charities


πŸŽ“ We hosted a group of International Students from Japan, learning about animal care and nursing


πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ We held our Nearly a Vet Convention with 26 aspiring young vets completing a workshop with Rebecca Johnson and a behind the scenes tour of the Pet Wellness Centre


πŸŽ„πŸŽ… Our Pawsome Pet Christmas Party was bigger than ever and we raised $1,008 which we donated to Animal Welfare League


πŸ₯° And judging by these photos, we all spent a lot of time on the floor with the animals!!!
