“Hi I’m Serin, I moved from my little town in North Wales towards the end of 2023 to the Gold Coast. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2023 just before I moved here and I also have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour from the University of Chester in the UK.

I’ve always wanted to work with animals and spent most of my time up until now learning and exploring the different options available through education and volunteering trips abroad in South Africa, Thailand and Greece. 

Veterinary nursing was so easy to settle on. I absolutely love my job! I find it so rewarding to be able to care for patients all day then the next time I see them they are doing so much better, it really reaffirms everything we do and is so heartwarming to see a pet bouncing in the clinic for a cuddle after being so sick. 

In my spare time I’m either going for walks, on the beach or finding an excuse to go out for breakfast and pat dogs at the cafes.“
